Over the years we have tried and tested many products, and we continue to test new products each year to use and sell to our customers. As we grow we continue to expand our line up of quality products. Products come and products go in an effort to give our customers the highest quality at reasonable prices. Shafts We are able to get virtually any shaft on the market today if needed but we’ve narrowed our selections down to shafts that have proven performance and offer quality throughout their product line. In spite of all the advertising very few shaft companies have anything truly unique to offer in terms of playability and performance. If we find one we bring it in and put it in our testing system. Carrying additional shafts in our fitting system would offer too many redundancies without additional value or performance. We measure all of our shafts in 7 positions on the shaft and find flex profiles that work for our golfers. There are more expensive shafts on the market but they do not show us any additional performance than the selections we have. No matter how good, or how expensive a shaft is there are manufacturing defects to some degree. No shaft is perfectly straight, no shaft is perfectly aligned and all shafts are not exactly the same flex even if they are marked as such. Our building techniques allow for this and make adjustments to insure the shaft in your club is corrected and exactly what we fitted you for and works for you and your swing as it should. We take the extra time to measure and align your shaft for optimal performance with your swing. More consistent center face hits, more consistent yardage shot after shot, more accuracy so you hit more fairways and the flex profile to fit your swing characteristics in the butt flex, mid flex and tip flex. Club Heads We have tried many, many brands over the years and after extensive testing with many hundreds of golfers we settled on the designs that continue to perform at a high level year after year. We have the highly advertised companies for those who want to buy a name and we have what we believe are the finest components available to build from. We will compare the quality and performance of our heads against any brand made. In most cases our boutique brands, just as in other industries, have to be better than the highly advertised brands to continue to survive. Just as we do with our shafts we weigh and measure each head and make the adjustments necessary to get them the way you need them for your swing. Most manufacturers offer plus or minus 1 swing weight point through the set. We no longer use swing weight as our standard, we use MOI measurements to make the set match better Swing weights are D-0, D-1, D-2, etc. Our MOI measurements run to 4 digits and 2 decimal points: for example a MOI might be 2575. 20 and we use a plus or minus 10 units as our standard. Swing weight are measured with a sliding arm mechanical scale and our MOI measuring machine is electronic. Our building methods We do not have a factory to mass produce our golf clubs. We build them one club at a time and one set at a time. Every product made is subject to manufacturing tolerances. To mass produce a product the quality has to sacrifice to a degree. With mass production as in any business, time is money and those who can produce more in a shorter period of time will increase profits. In our custom building we take the extra time to measure and adjust for manufacturing deficiencies in all of our components. |
